So I blew the speaker out of my Fender Bassman 150 combo, and after getting it fixed Im thinking about getting a new amp that can handle more volume. Ive heard some good things about the Acoustic B115 Cab/B200 Head stack ( http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Acoustic-B200H-200W-Bass-Head-and-B115-250W-1x15-Bass-Cab-Package?sku=483494 ) , and I guess I want to know if this is a good sounding/loud investment. Also, if I end up getting this I'll probly add on the B410 down the road. Can the head even handle both cabs at the same time?

if this guitar center mail out right here is anything to go by, definitely. they are all together in one nice package.

I wouldn't call what we have here on the Bass Forum a mentality. It's more like the sharing part of an AA meeting.

acoustic amps are great
What doesn't kill us, only makes us stronger

Bass: Ibanez Gsr200
Bass amp: Ibanez sw100 stack

Guitar: squier starter pack

never buy a squier!

Out of the box it'll put out somewhat more than 100 watts, but not 200. There's a good chance that isn't loud enough for you. Keep that in mind.

Also, technically it could power two cabs, because the 1x15 is 8 ohms. Why someone would want a 200 watt full stack or put 40% a cab's power handling is another question entirely.

So would the acoustic be louder than the fender? and if it isnt then i guess theres no real point in getting the acoustic...

you might be able to add a cab to your Fender...

So, wouldn't the 200 watt combo be louder then since all of the power would be going directly to the 1x15?

Or is it like the Ashdown MAG where its like 180 outta the box and you gotta get an extension to get the 307 watts?

Its like the MAG.

Its a "4 ohm" head pushing an 8 ohm cab, so all of the juice won't be used.

Thanks for that info I may need to rethink my idea of the purchasing of the B200 if I will just be getting 100-150ish watts.
