So far I want..

Get the entire, leatherbound Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy book.

http://www.borders.com/online/store/TitleDetail?sku=0517226952

It contains all five books in the trilogy and then one short story.

AND it's only $15.

Seriously. Just do it.

My favourites at the moment are:

Of Mice and Men
Crime and Punishment
Into The Wild

And any Terry Pratchett is fun. Also I get really engrossed in Jane Austen, but possibly that's not what you're looking for

I also liked reading Nikki Sixx's autobiography, the Heroin Diaries. *ducks*

Battle Royale, the novel by... Takami?

I second Lord of the Flies and A Clockwork Orange. Those are real good. I also really liked Voltaire's Candide. It was quite humourous.

Edit: I second George Orwell's 1984 too.

If u really like physics and ur interested in theoretical modern physics, go for The Elegant Universe. It will talk about hidden dimensions, the string theory, blackholes, and other interesting physics concepts. It does so without using numbers, just via conceptual talk. I personally loved it.

Practically anything by Kurt Vonnegut. He was the Mark Twain of our century.

I loved a Clock Work Orange, but get ready for some heavy context clues and rereading the book at least once more, if you really want to understand what is going on.

And High Fidelity by Nick Hornsby. Great read.
