I just read the rollings stones 100 greatest guitarists, and i was horrible. They had kurt cobain at 12 and eddie van halen at 70.... how does that work.

I say we start our own list. Everyone should add one guitarist, they dont have to be in order.

ill start

"Greatest Guitarists" doesn't mean "guitarists with amazing ability on guitar", it just means influential.

Jonas Brothers... I just screwed up your thread. This will continue to screw up any thread that you or any of your decendants will ever make.

EDIT: I see someone else has posted the same... Its a double curse now.

A huge amount. That's why pop punk/punk was so great - it encouraged so many people to pick up their guitars. Kurt probably encouraged more people to pick up a guitar than say, John Petrucci.

You should probably mug John Frusciante or Ritchie Blackmore. They're small guys, we could take 'em.

Just look out for that other guy in the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Will Farrel. He's a tall mofo, got a long reach.

not fastest or anything. Most influential and inventive. Ramone did that three power chord stuff and made it work.

I've got a better idea, lets use the search bar and see how many Rolling Stone/NME/Kerrang '100 Greatest Guitarist' lists have been posted since 1998.

...according to the list maker. None of those lists are definitive.

A lot of the time it just means popular..
Some people wait a lifetime, some simply accept...

...Some of us crash land, some of us eject...

...Some restore the blood flow, some just let it go and bleed...

...Some of us obsess, some move on to something new

My vote goes for Steve Morse.
What's all this about Joe Jonas? He can't play guitar.
Isaac Hanson on the other hand...holy ****.
He was wailin' in MmmBop, no doubt about that.

The whole thing was a popularity contest. I wouldn't pay any attention to it, or be upset by it. Rolling Stone is not what it was.

I don't think anyone has mentioned him in this thread:
Paul Waggoner
Here's my Youtube channel.
I play guitar and video games on it.
