So last week on sunday my city got hit by some really high winds, like 70-80 mph probably, from Hurricane Ike. And I live in Ohio. It was about 2:30 and my power went out. So now 8 days later I finally got my power back! Last week sucked a lot we had to use candles at night and all our food in the fridge had to be thrown out and we couldnt cook. But there are people who have it much worse right now in Texas so I should be happy. Any one else effected by Ike?

Damn, I couldn't live for 8 days without electricity, which is terrible.

As much as I love sitting in the dark playing acoustic guitar, it doesn't cook me tea.

Ughh I hated that I tried boiling water on our charcoal grill but it never boiled and my tea got cold real quick.

i know one of those hurricanes affected us here in south carolina a lil bit, or was going to, and rather than let us evacuate and take safety measures, my boss made EVERYBODY work that weekend, even the ones who werent scheduled to. wtf?!

Maybe he's part of some cult and believed the hurricane was the pathway to heaven.

My power want off for about 4 hours then came back. My grandma who lives only half a mile away didn't get hers back until last Friday.
