I'm trying to populate a list of solid wood acoustic guitars under $800.

I've been trying out different guitars for 2 weeks or so and my favorite always seem to be solid wood. I would like some more models to try out before I make a purchase.

Thanks to everyone who contributes in advance.

Well I love this guitar. Great sound and it is absolutely beautiful. I've played the Jumbo, don't know much about the dread though. Sorry.

Anyway, here's the jumbo: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Alvarez-PJ85SCDVS-Cutaway-Jumbo-Acoustic-Electric-Guitar?sku=514097

The Epiphone Masterbilt series and the Guild GAD series are the first ones that come to mind.

There's actually one more guitar I would like to suggest even though it's not all solid wood. The Seagull Maritime Spruce Mini Jumbo.

It's seriously one of the best guitars under $1000 that I've ever played.
Equipment:
- Art & Lutherie Cedar CW (SOLD! )
- Martin D-16RGT w/ LR Baggs M1 Active Soundhole Pickup
- Seagull 25th Anniversary Flame Maple w/ LR Baggs Micro EQ

Silvercreek makes some all solid models for like $300, but I haven't ever played or seen one.

I'm pretty sure Parkwood has some all solid under $800. I know Alvarez Masterworks series has some all solid guitars under $800.

A new Martin D-15 can be had for that. Some of the other Martin Custom variations of the D-15 that you see in MF and GC also go on sale for that amount.

im not sure if you can get a new one for $800. I checked online prices and they were all about $950 or so.

Yeah, I think if you bumped the number up to $1000, there would a lot more choices.

You can get any Martin for 60% of list. Do not go by the Musicians Friend/Guitar Center prices. You have to call a dealer for this due to the MAP.

My new D-16RGT was at my door for $1000, could've had the D-16GT for $899

A D-15 would be under 800 - at least until the price increase.
