Glued this up a couple months ago. Only just got around the machining it all flat.

Queensland Maple with Wenge pinstripes.

Queensland Maple sounds more like African Mahogany than Maple. In fact, it isnt a maple at all.

Not sure what body shape yet, but the stripes will be offset, like a racing car

What do you guys reckon I should build it as: SC, DC, SS, Tele, SX (Multiscale shape), etc??

Machined, with some spirits to show the grain.

No owner for this one yet, hopefully someone will buy it before it's finished.

I prefer stripes that run down the center... double cuts are always a sure fire win though

guys, when he suggests his own body shapes, don't throw ibanez or fender or anything at him, he's making his own guitars.

i say a doublecut or a tele, that would suit either very well.

i say a shape that is basically impossible to get in your way, liek rusty cooleys signature model but with a more original shape

I'd go for the Multiscale shape, but with a standard, straight scale, and keep the neck pup slanted and get 27 frets on that sucker (Straight bridge bucker), like a Hamer Californian :P

Schecter Avenger?
I'd vote for a weird metal shape with the offset pinstripes.
Sorta like the Schecter Avenger crossed with a Jackson Kelly maybe?}

I reckon a Les Paul or Tele shape would look very classy with the pinstripe.
