On what amp?
It matters, ultimate metalhead.

Yea, 30 watts is probably all you'll need, especially if it's a tube amp. You could even do small gigs with it.

What amp(s) are you looking at?
#4
you dont need 75 watts in your bedroom. get a small tube amp or a roland microcube - they are great for quiet practice with decent tone.

My life in all aspects is going fucking brilliantly, so I just thought I'd offer a cyncial scrap of wisdom, gloat a little, and then leave.

If you're talking solid state, which I'm assuming you are because I can't think of a single 75 watt valve amp @ the moment. I use my Peavey VYPYR 75 @ bedroom volume all the time. It sounds great. So yeah, 75 would work. It would also easily hang in a band situation too.

ok, so it's not like if i put the volume on 2-3 my neighbours will call the police?lol

If you like to go nice and loud, then you're going to get in trouble with a 30 watt or a 75 watt. Think about that. 75 will be fine.

On 3, it starts getting really loud. The volume knob goes up to 13. The highest I've had mine was 8 and it was deafening. Easily the loudest solid state amp I've ever played. It slaughtered my old Cube 60.
#12
haha well deafening is a lil too much, i guess 75 will be sufficient though. Thanks once more!
