Hi guys!
I am now in need of the pits new yorkers (and others with knowledge!)
I am visiting New York City the 15th of october to the 22th of october, and I need some great tips on what to check out!

I am especially interested in the question if there are any underground concerts with young, talented and unsigned musicians. Perhaps someone from UG?
I would prefer that the concert took place on manhattan or in brooklyn..

Anything else I need to check out?
Other than the obvious!?

Thanks Pit! Have a nice day

Take a trip to Harlem. While you're there, be sure to scream something racist (N-word, black joke, etc) as loud as you can. Don't run...it will only delay the fun!

I'm not responsible for anything that happens should you actually do this...

Well, you'll miss The Ergs with Dillinger Four in Brooklyn by a day, but if you want I can try to find you some shows to go to, the would be in Brooklyn most likely. Also, I know mostly punk and pop punk stuff, so just tell if you don't like that stuff.
I'm the same as I was when I was six years old
And oh my god I feel so damn old
I don't really feel anything

Watch "Phone booth". It's pretty much like that except for less phone booths.

go to 48th street and go to Rudy's, Manny's, and Sam Ash.

Rudy's is by far the coolest guitar store i've ever been in. everything they have is awesome.

I like this guy, he's UG's Greek, and he just told your ass in two paragraphs. And I once spent 5 minutes watching his avatar.

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=66653259 They're playing in NYC on the 18th with a bunch of other bands, worth checking out a lot of fun live.

I'm having a hard time finding shows for that week, seems like everyone is going to be on tour or something. There's a couple shows in Jersey if you could make it down there. I'll keep you updated, if I find anything I'll show you.
