MIJ neck on my MIM Fender Strat?

Its kinda grubby and there is fretware (scratching). It also has on the first couple frets slight chipping. Will this affect anything?

Im asking because im spending £60 to put new tuners and bone nut on it.

or would you just put new tuners and a nut on my neck i have on the strat now?

cheers, Moomin

if the 2 necks are built for the same scale. take your old neck off, make sure the new neck will fit correctly. if everything looks good you be the judge of which neck you rebuild with

not the sound, probably the playability. why replace the MIM neck?

yes i know. but from the description of the MIJ neck the TS is referring to, it seems like it's better to keep the MIM neck.
