the likelihood is, it's a terrible starter bass, if the 700 dollar Jackson I played was anything to go by, or the numerous jackson guitars I've seen. modern jackson needs to incorporate more obvious feel improvements, the heels seem too square and the sound usually unimpressive. look into Ibanez.

hmmm. you are probably looking at single coils or split coils. look for Ibanez GSR and Squier VM or CV.

if my memory serves me correctly anways.

awww nick's being all paternal, what a lovely humanity you are

In all seriousness to the TS, be careful what starter bass you get, I got a peice of junk and it put me off playing for a long time becuase it was horrible, I bought the first thing I tried, in this case a very cheap fender P bass knock off, before discovering I much prefer jazz necks and such....shop around, take your time...enjoy
