isnt chris broderick in megadeth now?

Yeah.

TS, you are late. You should study arpeggios, sweeping, theory and scales.

Well, you could listen to Nevermore.

Or, you could study guitarists/bands that Loomis has cited as influences, such as Cacophony (Friedman/Becker), Malmsteen, and Tony MacAlpine.

Loomis released a solo album, listen to that too.

Best thing to do is to take a metronome and practice, practice, practice bits from Nevermore songs that you like. Do this until you can play them. Start out slow and build up speed in small intervals. Don't speed up until you can play it perfectly and without tension at the previous speed.
