how do u make interesting chord proggressions? i dont understand all this about dominant chords and passing chords etc.. and how do u use /decide on the different modes u use over certain chords? any help would be greatly appretiated

Don't even be thinking about modes if you don't understand chord progressions. Learning how diatonic harmony works is much more important. You need to learn what the tonic chord, dominant chord, subdominant and all that sound like, how they relate to each other. The above lesson is a good starting point. But nothing will be as good as an actual teacher.

alrite, so what questions do i ask? what is diatonic harmony? tonic, dominant and sub dominant etc?
