hello folks;

can you name any great bass amps for metal ala Metallica pls?

the amp should take hold against my 60 Watt engl fireball;

since i dont know the price range (for a friend) it would be great if you could name good amps in any price range;
my gear:

guitar: Schecter c1 classic
amp: Engl fireball
box: Engl v30 4x12
effects: g-major
in future: ESP eclipse, PRS Custom 24...

Heres the one I use, it sounds great, is loud as ass and i play a lot of metallica through it

Stay away form that AMPEG B115... waste of money IMO. Sound is less than stellar, and its no way in hell loud enough for a 60w tube amp. Just no.

I've never tried the Ashdown so I can't comment. But Ashdown is respectable, so I'd take a look at that.

A 60W tube amp should need a bare minimum for 300W to really compete. (note the Ashdown MAG 300 needs an extension cab to get 300W, it is just often thrown about, and the combo would be unsuitable here).
