No matter what I try, I can never find a comfortable way to play whilst standing up. Sitting down I am fine but when I am standing up my fingers seem slower than when i am sitting down and I am really slow about sliding down the neck. I have no idea what is wrong with me lol.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
cheers

How low is your guitar slung? If you have it down in your testicular region then raise it up to your waist. You don't look as cool but it is MUCH easier to play and you will be able to play faster. Also practice playing while standing. That helps a lot

Everyone is more comfortable playing while sitting down. In every pic of someone in a recording studio they're sitting.

Just practice more while standing up.

Only Jimmy Page is allowed to play guitar below his crotch.

Try adjusting the strap to different lenghths. an inch can make all the difference! (Yeah!) Any way also pratice standing up. Get the idea sitting down then stand up to perfect it

Beat to it. Damn you all are fast

Put the guitar as high as you would when you're sitting
then you can always slowly lower it to get the more 'badass' look :p

When you stand up you can put more expression into playing.

You realise this when you get good. Also, get the height of the guitar exact to where it is when you sit down.

Hey presto.
