I was thinking of getting this guitar for my nephew to learn to play on, but someone told me it looked a little off...
Do you think it might be a fake epiphone les paul standard or am i just paranoid?
I'm going to email the seller to find out if theres an epiphone name on the pickups or toggle switch or anything...
Does it look right to you guys?
*Sorry for the photos...it's all the seller had posted.

It's not a Standard but it's definitely not fake.

It looks like a Studio with a different pickguard.

The colour looks a touch flat to be a Standard.

It might just be the image, though.

Probably an older Studio with black speed knobs and a different pickguard.
Did you know the odds of a Vault-Tec shelter failing are 1,763,497 to 1?

yeah, they're supposed to be black speed knobs that didnt show up well in the pic...i havnt seen it in real life though. didnt want to waste everyones time in driving over there to look at it if it was definatly fake. i dunno, the guy came down from $275 to $200 on it so it seemed maybe too good to be true? claims it's a year old standard, retailing for $399...

yarp, thats a fake.

it has three screw on the truss rod cover. gibsons/epiphones only have two.

It looks OK to me but the freatboard and headstock look kinda weird. Could just be the photo tho.
