I love the sound of my Paul when its unplugged but i wanna make that louder. I've already looked at the Boss: AC3 I want it to sound like an unplugged electric not an acoustic. Any ideas on how?

Piezo bridge. Not hard to come by i dont think, but would require a bit of electronics work.

how much would the bridge and installation cost in all?

turning down the volume knob on your guitar and turning up the amp volume can make a similar tone. you might have to play around with the gain and eq to get the right tone.

But, don't unplugged electrics sound like quieter acoustics? Mine does.

Hmm. Isn't that odd.

If you're looking for the sound of the guitar itself you may want to do what a friend of mine did.

He got a stethescope and taped it to the guitar and used one of those lavalier mics inside the tube that runs to your ear. It was a strange idea but it works for him.
