It definately has for me. Ive noticed that since I started I have become better at keeping rhythm not only with my hands but my whole body as well. It helps out with getting laid too. How bout you guys?

Better rhythm, yes. Dancing, no idea. I like playing and jumping around while watching others dance.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to put it, along with your other advice, into a book, the pages of which I will then use to wipe my ass.

Y'know, I didn't really ever have a reason to think about it until I read this thread, but now that I have, it definitely has. I have a lot more flow.

"It helps out with getting laid too" LOL!!!!!!!!!HAHAHA!

I think you should translate "Dancing" into "Movement" instead.

Well, a man who stands with his guitar like a robot without any movement is boooring and such a big turn-off, he has to have something ****ing special to prove otherwise like maybe long nice hair and killer guitar playing where he feels it like no other feeling, however if he plays alongside the rhythm and moves according to the song is freaking awesomeness. Due to me being part brazilian the rhythm is just in me, it can't run out, I have to move when I play guitar, I don't mean like dancing like Madonna or some shit like that, I mean just moving after the rhythm, jumping, dancing, ya know, can't just stand there 'cause it's too much fun, sadly I'm a lady so some parts get in the way, which sucks and everything would be so much easier if I was a man.

Also I like moving alongside the guitar as it keeps my back in shack, if not I would become too stiff and moveless and my body would hurt like shit if I didn't move.

Some players who "dance"/move:

James Hetfield (he doesn't really dance, but damn he moves after the rhythm of the songs, which is HOT as hell!) :P Kirk on the other hand doesn't move as much as him, you'll notice!

Jimi Hendrix (he even danced/****ed to his strat at Monterrey pop festival)

John Frusciante (he moves according to the songs, just look at the facial expressions!)

Omar from Mars Volta (Dances so much salsa my eyes sometimes hurts because it's too fast, how the heck he does that while playing guitar is a mystery to me.

Your drummer must get a bit uncomfortable at times.

Exactly.
Your opinion is just that, YOUR opinion. It doesn't make you right. It doesn't make you better. It doesn't make you god. Everyone has their own view and that view is neither right or wrong.

Ignorance destroys music.
