I'm using Audacity, just some program I downloaded.

Does anyone know how teh sound quality is when you encode the songs into MP3 files? I know I have to download MP3 encoding software, but I can't find it either.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance

Hey- this is probably the wrong forum for this but anyway,

When I use audacity I use lame mp3 to encode the files. specifically you need a file called lame_enc.dll. you should be able to find a link to it here:
http://lame.sourceforge.net/download.php

Once you have it run audacity, go to preferences (ctrl+p), then goto the file formats tab. At the bottom under mp3 export setup, click find library and locate lame_enc.dll. Set the bitrate as high as you want, the higher it is, the better the quality will be.

If you are converting from .wav to .mp3 at say, a 320 bitrate, I don't think you'll be able to notice any difference
