I had purchased a Jackson RR24 a year prior. The guitar was a limited edition guitar with yellow binding and with reverse sharkfin inlays, it’s 1 of 75. From that point I meditated on what changes to do to it in order to improve upon the initial design Jackson had sought designed for it. I then thought of Alexi Laiho’s Jackson guitar from Children of Bodom in the sense of its gold hardware and how it looked in contrast to his yellow binding on his guitar. I then went to my guitar shop in CT with a list of modifications for my favorite luthier to do.

I immediately had the black licensed Floyd rose changed to a gold Schaller Floyd rose in order to improve the ability to tune and hold tuning for the guitar. The guitar truly holds its tuning and with bends and dive bombs tremendously well than the original Floyd that Jackson had supplied with it. The black Floyd rose nut was also changed to a gold Schaller Floyd rose nut as well to stay in contrast with the theme for the guitar. From that point I felt as if something else was missing from the guitar in the sense of tonality. In addition an EMG PA-2 was installed in order to differentiate the sound during solos as well as possible rhythm sections. The PA-2 was wired to the battery for the pickup to facilitate easier batter removal (from its separate compartment in the back). I also changed the black volume knob to a brass gold one to match the theme.

The playability of the guitar stayed the same. The fret board is amazing in its scaling and feel of the neck. Playing scales, leads, chords became an ease due to the neck. As the fret board approached the higher frets the frets became flatter and easier to play. The frets are level and facilitate low action for the guitar and its playability. The guitar was strung with DR strings (Tite- fit 11-50) to give it a little more tone in my amp and setup up for a step down from standard (DGCFAD). I also had Dimarzio strap locks installed as well.

From that point my guitar was packed away in its case rarely to be played due to my hectic schedule and school. I was too consumed with mundane aspects of my life and could not give the guitar the attention I initially wanted. The guitar was setup by my guitar shop over in CT and was always taken care of. The guitar is in perfect condition like the day it left the factory; it has no scratches, dings, blemishes, dents, scratches, or chips (especially in the fins which happens to be the case with most V’s). Like I said the guitar is absolutely flawlessly perfect. The fret wear is near to none. The tone on the guitar is amazing with its crisp highs, clarity, razor sharp attack and balance of tone. It can hit everything from hard rock to metal and has a rather amazing clean sound despite what people say about EMGs. In comparison to all my other guitars, this guitar in the end had the look and feel of a real Jackson custom shop guitar.

If you need any additional pictures or information you can give me a PM and I would be more than glad to supply it. I’m asking 1250 for it with its OHSC and strap.

Nah its a Jackson made Floyd Rose. It's why I swapped it out for a schaller FR because it held tune so much more effectively than the previous.
