I've been wanting to buy a electric guitar for awhile but I'm on a budget of $250.
I was kinda looking at a Epiphone SG speacial on musiciansfriends.com

If it's possible, try and bump up to an Epiphone G-400. I've owned it for three years, and it was an excellent guitar, Green Day to Led Zeppelin to Slayer.

Wrong forum dude. But while I'm in this thread, I'd recommend the Yamaha Pacifica.
You are like a hurricane
There's calm in your eye.
And I'm gettin' blown away
To somewhere safer
where the feeling stays.
I want to love you but
I'm getting blown away.
