I'm looking for a tube amp.
Will be used for mostly bedroom practice.
Then band practice in the far future.

I am mostly looking for sounds similar to

Avenged Sevenfold
The Fall of Troy
Bullet For My Valentine
The Strokes
In Flames

But I want the ability to have good cleans and be able to get a nice indie sound.

I live in sacramento.
Before I couldn't buy used.
I have convinced my parents to let me.

My budget is about 700 dollars.
That is my absolute max.

EDIT: I know I have made a lot of threads. I'm sorry for that. I'm just afraid of investing so much money in something that I may not like or regret buying. So I need a lot of opinions. Just to get me in the right direction.

TOP EDIT: The only thing worthwhile I found in your used market is that 5150EVH, and I think it's exactly what you need.

Good God. You have a ton of threads on this very subject, my friend.

What questions should I ask about the amp?
What should I look for when trying it out?
The amp is 9 years old.
So new tubes probably needed.
Are they tricky to change?
Would I need them to be done at a guitar store?

a vox valvetronix would be around that price I believe, and I think they make some high-gain models for metal.

Look, kid, I don't want to be a jerk or anything, but you really need to do your homework here. You're asking for the world, and we can't give it to you.
It's ultimately your responsibility, so act like it. There are plenty of resources (on this website) and elsewhere where you can find out all the information you need. All you have to do is look. Its not just going to hit you in the face.
Good luck.

Maybe you should save up a bit until you start gigging. Tube amps aren't very good for home practise, especially the high gain ones that you are looking for. Wait until you get in a band before buying one, as you probably won't find what you are looking for until you have at least over $1000.

I beg to differ. Maybe not about the home practice part, but that's negligible.
The used market exists for a reason. The 5150 is a $1000+ amp new. As such, it fits into your criteria that "you probably won't find what you are looking for until you have at least over $1000".
