I just heard 30 Seconds To Mars's "The Kill" acousticly and while I normally hated the song it sounded pretty damn good.

gotta agree with "the kill." i found it a couple of years ago, and it's definitely way better than the album version

acceptance's "take cover" isn't too bad by comparison to the original either.

Foo Fighters have done acoustic shows since at least 2006...

but their acoustic version of times like these is way better than the electric IMO

I've just never heard it done acoustically. I've heard the epic "Dave only" version with the electric, but not an acoustic version yet. I'll look it up.

Rodrigo y Gabriela do a killer cover of Orion (metallica)

They also do a version of Stairway that I think eclipses the original.

I agree, even though i love the original, the cover was incredible, he pretty much slapped them in the face, saying like "this is how it should have been done"

The acoustic version of Times Like These was the first Foo Fighters song I'd ever heard, long before I knew who the Foo Fighters were, let alone listened to music regularly.

Everchanging by Rise Against... I liked the original but then heard the acoustic and was like WOAH WTF... it's one of my favorite songs now.

Forgive the incredibly corny picture they put in place of a video.

well i went to the pub yesterday cus the band that was meant to be playin cancelled so 2 of my mates were asked to play an accoustic session, so they played all of their normal songs accousticly. Livin on a prayer just does not work accoustic, at all, ever. crazy train sounded epic tho

This may be a dumb question, but have you ever heard Bon Jovi play Livin' On A Prayer acoustic? It is amazing, in my opinion.

Anyways, here are my favorites on acoustic:

Tears In Heaven - Eric Clapton (first time I heard it, I was blown away)
The Deeper The Love - Whitesnake
Urgent - Foreigner
Rock You Like A Hurricane - Scorpions

well yea, that version may be epic, all i was saying is that the version of their livin on a prayer accoustic sounded like a demented cat (i mean the guitar was alright, actaully it was pretty awesome, i just didn't think the way he was singing it went very well with it). other versions maybe good, i was just don't think theirs was lol
