Ok, so when there's a percentage of something, what is the noun? Like, "A relatively low share/portion of mezzanine racks (4%) can be attributed to...". So what is the proper noun instead of "share/portion"? Thanks!

there's not really an incorrect one,

percentage is the obvious one but you could use share/proportion/number/ratio
