I've been a fan of Lovecraft for some time now, and I've recently heard two Metallica songs, The Call Of Cthulhu and The Thing That Should Not Be.... And I'm blown away!!! Those guys caught the Cthulhu atmosphere with spine tingling success... Any other songs that share the same feel and/or story with these masterpieces?

Lovecraft was a dirty racist... but a fantastic writer.

As for Cthulhu, yeah, the 2 by Metallica were the only ones I knew.

"Ea lord of the depths" may be one. If not its a pretty close rip off of Cthulhu.

No, Ea was the Babylonian water god. And there are multiple spellings for Cthulhu such as Kutulu, Cathulu, and many others.

Indeed. In some of the stories it lists Ktulu as an alternate spelling.

Ah ok, I was wondering as I thought I had heard of Ea somewhere else before. But after reviewing the lyrics it seemed it could have been Cthulhu. Of course google was worthless for helping me find this out because when you type in "Ea" all you get is videogames.

Nile and Morbid Angel both use the writings of HP Lovecraft a lot, if that helps

And you're obviously here because you fancy Phill.
Phill is a very attractive guy...

"I'm so tempted to sig that, Phill" - Sig it then

Unless otherwise stated, assume everything I say is in my opinion.

SO if Janne and Alexi did a gay porn, would I be the only one willing to buy it?

That's a dumb question, you know everyone in here would buy it too. I know I would!
