So I have a delay/echo and phaser pedal. I like them both, but was wanting to continue spicing up my playing with pedals that can enhance the psychedelic quality of my songwriting.

If you know of any or recommend any, please let me know what types of pedals to try and/or brand names.

Thanks!

You can never have enough reverb in ambient music. Maybe a fuzz so the transition between ambient and psycadelic bursts seem as opposite as possible.

Phaser/Flanger
Whammy?

Autowah. Set it kinda slow, and use it with sustained notes. would sound kinda cool, i think. A POG, or polyphonic octave pedal would be cool for leads. A Holy Grail reverb pedal, and maybe an EHX Micro Synth.

Good list, doodleface.

Given that ambience/psychadelia is all about using weird stuff, I think it'd be easier to list the pedals you probably don't need:
Equalizer
Hard-clip Distortion (Overdrive or Fuzz for psychadelia all the way)
Noise Gate
Compressor
Envelope Filter

What, no Octave?

Get the MXR Tremolo/Panner.

Just, no. Locrian should be treated like that gay cousin. Just avoid him cuz he's weird, unstable, and is attracted to the wrong thing.

Big deal, I bought a hamster once and they put that in a box...doesn't make it a scale.

If you want the very basics of psychedelic rock, follow Syd Barrett's example.

--Echo/delay, tape-like or analog if possible
--Fuzz
--Wah

That's all he ever used, and I consider him the master of the psychedelic guitar. Add other pedals from there.
Do YOU know who Les Paul is?

Tremolo would probably be a good idea.

Thanks fellows, these are great suggestions.
