I don't know what it is exactly, but I bet it says Ibanez on the headstock.

And the letters "RG" are probably somewhere in the name.

Look at some ESP's. My guitar was $220 and my friend agrees that its nearly the same quality as his $450 Gibson LP. ESP's were MADE for metal. The bass on the stock pickups is so damn ballsey(sp?) even my teacher said it was an awesomesauce metal guitar. I <3 ESP

Agile AL-2500 Tribal Green . They also have it in blue, but I think the green looks more badass. The pups aren't high output, but they sound nice and fat. Better than most stock pups in that price range IMO. They are always something you can always upgrade at a later time anyway.

Edit: for $20 more, you could get this instead:

You mean LTD. You won't find an ESP for $220.

Sorry, I just dislike how ESP/LTD are labeled together yet no one ever buys an Epi and says, "L00KZ @ MYS NEWW GIBSON!!!".

But the Epi SG is pretty ok. I'd try to save up about $100-200 more if I were you and get the SG prophecy series with EMG's.

That looks nothing like an explorer, dude...

I'd say some kinda non-trem RG if you like thin necks. Otherwise, go for a schecter. They have thicker necks which i personally prefer.

Just bought one myself, and I love it. If you're looking for the best metal guitar you can get with $300, go for the RG2EX1/RG321.
