i played John Butler Trio - Ocean for my GCSE solo performance and got full marks though I played really badly.

If you have an acoustic, it's well worth learning anyway.

I'll highly recommend that to anyone.

Try You Got a Deathwish, Johnny Truant? or Act 1, Scene 1 by Fall of Troy. One of them has a really cool solo in it, which really isnt that hard. Or Let it Die by Foo Fighters. Kinda difficult at first, but its not too hard with practice.

I'm doing Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder on bass. my tip is to do something that the examniers will probably enjoy, eg someone mentioned he played John Butler Trio badly and still got full marks. I'm playing an old motown song, which everyone loves and they will probably remember.
So try to think of what they'll be hearing instead of what you like.

My 2 pence.

I think you need to stop caring what people think about it. I stayed home all day today and masturbated like 5 times. Fucking blast.
