I only have 6 guitars set up in powertab, and when I try to make a new one it's all like "You can only have 7 guitars, sorry" and i'm like "I only have 6, if my maths is correct, that means I can have 1 more" and it's like "nope sorry" and i'm like ;(

What the crap, powertab.

Any way around the instrument number limit?

get tux guitar!!! it's free and it plays both guitar pro and powertab files, and you can do percussion and all that stuff, and as far as i've found, there's no limit to how many instruments you can have.
Gear:
Fender Hot Rod Deville 2x12
Custom Built Guitar (made it myself)
PRS SE Soapbar II Maple
Fender Stratacoustic (Stolen! )
Digitech RP200
Boss MT-2
Roland Microcube
I like my stuff!
