I got a peavey jsx mini collosal recently, and it's fantastic! But it has virtually no headroom, if I dial the gain to the absolute lowest I can, it still sounds overdriven. How can I get clean sounds out of it? Could I retube it with some other tubes?

Maybe change the output powertube. I'd probably change to a lower gain preamp tube though.

I'll gladly take it off your hands though!
