i was told that changing gauges of strings could mess up my guitars neck so i should get it set up by someone who knows how. some dude at guitar center said i could do it myself just adjust the springs so that the bridge is abotu level with the body. is this true? i already changed the strings and im hoping it wont hurt anything.

i tightened my bridge so it would be equal to the body.

yeah, it should be fine. if you've made a major change in string gauge (say from 9s to 12s), you might have to adjust the truss rod slightly. jj1565 can help better with that than i can, though.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
