Try playing shredding solos with delay xD

As far as shredding with delay...
I said original, Van Halen is far from original.

Moogs? John Frusciante makes some crazy shit with them.

But im talking about MAB kind of shred, REAL shred.
If you have the skill , of course.

Ive been experimenting with my delay lately to ge some odd effects out of it.
But yeah i can play shred, its about half of what i do all day
#10
use a fast phaser with a slow rising flange, with a hint of slap back delay
...

delay + other delay gets pretty freaky

and the digitech whammy'll make you raise your eyebrows

I hook up 2 DD6s, both the first one with effect on max and the second with effect o 3/4s so that one reverses what i play and one reverses the reverse and all at once they echo one another. All on top a phaser going at a veeery slow speed and a chorus going somewhat slow with moderate reverb.
Im very into mixing effects and doing crazy things.
#13
Digitech Synth Wah if you want something weird on the cheap.
Copilot FX makes some really weird stuff
Death by Audio's Total Sonic Annihilation will make any decent-sized pedal board (3 pedals or more) go absolutely nuts
Somebody makes an Envelope-controlled Volume Pedal, but I forget who
Z. Vex Fuzz Probe and their Lo-fi Loop Junky are both pretty out there

Look at Metasonix too, if you're both rich and insane.
The scrotum smasher pedal through the F*cking F*cker amp would sound rather "unique."

Ooh, I can't wait until that's released!

Try using a DigiTech whammy pedal. Gives a pretty unique sound, although not particularly out of this world.

You might wanna look into an auto-wah, too - Buckethead uses one sometimes during Night of the Slunk and I finally think it's what he uses to end the solo in Jordan (3:02 - 3:18) I presume an auto-wah + delay + whammy set to detune would be pretty awesome sounding.

[quote="'[BurnTheDusk"]']Truely beautifull disaster is intriging, thanks Roc!

EDIT: What is oscillation?

Oscillation generally means rotation, but it sometimes is used to refer to sound 'bouncing' between amps. Also used to describe a rotating speaker cab, which gives an interesting sound - some pedals emulate it.

Anybody know of an effect that is a bypass that triggers on and off at a set speed using a knob.
like putting a distortion into its loop turning it on and it would turn the bypass on and off with a knob to set the speed it goes on and off?

If not does anyone know how i can design something like this ?
#21
You mean like a timed on/off switch?

^I'd take a look at some schematics for the Morley Wah/Volume pedals. They're all designed to shut-off when you're not stepping on them.
#23
If you're into tremolo, give one of these a look. I found them on a site local to me, give them a look.

For a fuzz, this looks pretty wierd and cool.

That's only due to the springs in the pedal. They pop the pedal right back up when you arent stepping on it.

Maybe an E-bow or some sort of synth pedal like a Boss Bass Synthesiser or Line 6 FM-4.
Ibanez GAX50
Epiphone Valve Junior
Boss OS-2 Overdrive/Distortion

Saving for:
