so i got the crate V33 cab & head, but was stupid and didnt get cables, can i use an instrument cable?, shoulkd i get speaker cables ?

yep, use a speaker cable, instrument cables aren't meant to carry the current that goes through a speaker cable.

If the cable screws up, its no different from not having a speaker plugged to the amp. So use a speaker cable that is made to connect a speaker to amp.

With an SS amp, it could potentially be OK temporarily. However, as al112987 said, it could result in epic fail. There's a good chance that you'll fry your brand new investment. Just don't do it.

its a tube head, i hooked it up for like 5 minutes based on the first post, then came back and saw like 4 saying to never do it, so i unplugged it

thank you, its my first new amp day since i had been using a frontman 15g that came with my squier,
but those days are OVER!!(once i get cables )
