what is the correct way to put a UPC code into the computer at the registers?

id assume most registers are different.

at the store i work at, you simply type in the numbers of the UPC, and push the enter button.




like with that, you would type in the 10 main numbers. you ignore the final number at the end.


now if its like this:




you have to type in that first number as well. if its anything besides a 0 it needs to be included.


but thats just how ours work. im sure they arent all the same.

this, except at mine you have to leave off the last digit when you type it in...

for ours you would have to include the 1. you never include the final number though. at least on our registers anyway.
