Listen to Apostle in Triump and In Mist She Was Standing. You can't tell me you don't like those songs.
#162
I do like those songs.

They're just not as great as Bleak, The Leper Affinity, White Cluster, The Night and Silent Water, Master's Apprentices, Ghost of Perdition, Hope Leaves, Isolation Years, Deliverance, Godhead's Lament, When, The Lotus Eater, or The Moor.

The chatteth thread was killed?!?! wow... So we actually have to talk about Opeth?

fine then... Blackwater Park = great Opeth song or greatest Opeth song? I'm leaning towards greatest.

yes, its gone
lets not bring it back
and no, i'd say its not even the best off the album (which is Bleak of course)
#165
Yep. Bleak > homeless children.

One of the first Opeth songs I ever heard, and still is one of the best to date.

The Leper Affinity is the best song on Blackwater Park....

>_<

Anyway, make as many Opeth threads as needed, they'll never be as good as the Opeth fellation thread.

that really isn't saying much...

bleak is one of the most awesomest opeth songs. definitely my favorite of BWP. the title track would be a very close second though.

The OFT was the best thread ever. Opinions were prohibited (unlike now... everyone has opinions these days... sheesh!) and everything was awesome.

Isn't there an option to export to html in gp?

You can just do ASCII. Which is just text.

Could someone convert the GP Night and the Silent Water tab to normal tab for me!

http://www.tuxguitar.com.ar/ Opens all GP files.

I just bought the Still Life special edition, and I discovered that the Face of Melinda vid is from the Roundhouse Tapes (I know most of you guys knew that, but 'twas a nice surprise for me). I can't wait for the DVD to come out, it looks better than Lamentations.

That reminds me, when he was taking requests Akerfeldt asked some girl what she wanted to hear and she said "The Grand Conjuration" and he starts laughing and was like we already played that lmfao.

What a noob. I would have requested BWP.

tBYF is my fave right now. Probably wont be for long though. They never last.

I'm gone for about 18 hours and the thread is already 5 40ppp pages long.

This is gonna get BIG... and MANLY

I'm getting a sexy new classical guitar for chrissy. Gonna be perfect for playing the ol' acoustic interludes.

TBYF has been my favorite for a long time. In fact, I just turned off all my lights, put my headphones on, and listened to it in the dark. The build-up to the electric part blows my mind every time.

And I'm surprised this thread isn't already like 15 pages I guess it has to do with the de-spamification. Oh well.

I have only heard D and D Ghost Reveries Watershed and Blackwater Park currently my favorite album would be either Ghost Reveries or Blackwater Park couldn't say as of yet

I would put those albums in this order
1. Damnation
2. Deliverance
3. Blackwater Park
4. Ghost Reveries
5. Watershed.

I strongly suggest you get Still Life if you like Blackwater Park so much.

agreed.

Baying of the hounds and beneath the mire come close though.

All of the songs contain a favourite part of mine
like I love the outro to reverie/harlequin forest it seems so sinister and evil.

it works, but it's really annoying
i prefer powertab
i guess this is just useful for stuff thats only on guitar pro

and yeah, Ghost of Perdition pwns the rest of GR. Although the "Wept for solace..." bit in Beneath the Mire is gorgeous too.
#196
I already have guitarpro5 but it sucks becasue everyone has 5.2 now and i cant use some tabs. It will be useful for those. Otherwise i'll just use guitar pro.

I love the start of Baying of the hounds with the organ. It's awesome.
#197
When i first heard Ghost of Perdition i was blown away.
in the intro it was like soft and quiet and then it explodes.

of course the volume was way loud and i was leaning foward.

I don't often hear a lot of Funeral Portrait lurvin in here (well in the old thread). I think it deserves some lurvin.
