Best cleans would be on a strat or tele

I suppose the strat would be better for hard rock, though, it really depends on how heavy the music you play on it is.

Try a Gibby Explorer. Awesome guitars. That fin rounds out the guitars tone very nicely. The cleans on the Explorer tend to be quite warm, and it distorts like a dream.

I'd go for a Strat of some sort; easy to play, and sound like a dream. It's one of the easiest to mod aswell.
