well, i feel like getting a new guitar. something fixed bridge so i can stop messing with floyd, and something made for nub metalcore.

i have my eyes set on some cheap ibanez RG's that have fixed bridges, and possibly some Dean V's. anyone wanna give me some advice on guitars that might be good for just practicing with? i gotz a budget around 500-600 dollars U.S

oh, and post links if u are awesome.

thanks,

Both di$torted and highpotency have made great suggestions.

Also look into ESP/LTDs (anything 400 series or higher are generally pretty reliable and good quality). And take a look at some Jacksons.

For pickups, in most metal genres you just cant go wrong with a set of emgs or seymour duncans

ESP and jackson guitars are both good

Yeah, after playing Jacksons I'm a die-hard for em. Check out an RR3. Good quality, fast necked guitar that would make your "nub-metal" seem better than it should. Plus they have the visual metal edge on stage. Retail new is like $650, online you can find good ones a little lower than that.
But just remember, you get what you pay for.
