I'm fairly new to effects & pedals and such, and Im assuming that echo & delay pedals are similar things right? anyway I haven't got any of either of those, and I'm looking to purchase one of these for under around $80. I don't play that many songs with echo or whatever, mainly the occasional tool or muse song, so I'm looking for an echo\delay that has a fair few different tones.

I assume you mean reverb by echo. There is a difference. Delay pedals take the original signal and repeat it after a certain amount of time. Reverb/Echo is just that, an echo. It makes it sound like your playing in a big empty room.

Ok so I guess a Delay pedal could be used as an echo though?

I'll go ahead and save you from learning from experience on that one
Behringer pedals suck!
Maybe look into a Holy Grail, or a boss digital reverb/delay.
Plenty of demos on the *tubes check em out to get an idea of what the pedals can do.

Edit: Boss RV-3 is discontinued so find one on ebay or look for something similar from another brand.
