Sound clip: http://media.putfile.com/Yamaha-LL500

I mic'd the guitar, just wanted some thoughts. And yeah, I know my playing is a bit choppy!

I have about 1500 bucks to spend, and I paid this one 900 used. It's a Yamaha LL500, I've heard alot of people say it sounds like a D-28, while some others said it sounded like crap. I personally like the sound, but if I can find something better for 1.5k, what would you suggest?

Current guitar specs:

Body: Unique "LL" Body style

Solid Spruce Top
#
Solid Rosewood Back and Sides
#
Magogany Neck
#
Rosewood Fretboard
#
Rosewood Bridge
#
Albalone Rosette
#
Ivory Cell
#
Gloss finish

Simplified, my question is: Could I get a better-sounding guitar 1500?

I can't get the clip working for some reason. Anyway... it really doesnt matter what other say. As long as you enjoy the guitar then why does anything else matter? Your satisfaction with the guitar is the only thing that matters.
Equipment:
- Art & Lutherie Cedar CW (SOLD! )
- Martin D-16RGT w/ LR Baggs M1 Active Soundhole Pickup
- Seagull 25th Anniversary Flame Maple w/ LR Baggs Micro EQ
