Ehh, sure you're doing good.
It isn't a particularly hard song - you should work towards Master of Puppets.

Master of Puppets sounds pretty crazy, but it's relatively easy - only took me like half an hour to get down pat.

Congrats. Keep practicing.
"I am a remnant of the Forever Origin"

"The forest of October sleeps silent when I depart
The web of time hides my last trace
My blaze travel the last universe
Like the sights of magic
Wrapped in aeons
My mind is one with my soul"

Isn't 'Nothing Else Matter's' finger picking alot?
I wouldn't know, I never really learned it.

Anyways, I'd say you're doing pretty good, just keep up with the practicing.

Also, Master Of Puppets may be a little difficult at first, but it gets easier. The whole song is pretty much downpicking, which may cause some frustration at first. If you're looking to learn more of there songs, there are plenty that aren't to hard. My personal favorite to play would be 'Wherever I May Roam', it's easy but pretty fun to play.

Also, don't just learn Metallica songs. They're fun, but you should try some other stuff as well, it'll help you much more.
