What styles of music do you play?

Also, do you have an amp? If so, what is it?
Did you know the odds of a Vault-Tec shelter failing are 1,763,497 to 1?

So imagine life in a Vault-Tec Vault. Not just a future.
A brighter future... underground.

Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.

Yamaha pacifica 112 + Roland micro-cube (assuming you don't have an amp) = 200+125 (assuming you're from the US)

get an ESP EC-50 and a line 6 spider 3, 15 watt amp

awesome starter pack, i wish i would have gotten that when i first started

id say save up more for something better than the lowest lines of guitars and amps.

Raven RG20 Amp. 12" Speaker with 20 Watts of power. Really good amp for the price. Distortion is great for Rock. Guitar-wise, You'd have about $250 left over which of course means Squier Hot Rails Stratocaster IF you want a classic rock guitar. For really heavy stuff for $250, I really don't know. The Hot Rails Strat is pretty good for the price. Pickups are heavy sounding, and has a Vintage Synchronous Tremolo. That'd be your best choice if you play Rock.

Get a Roland Micro Cube:

http://www.rolandus.com/products/productdetails.aspx?ObjectId=594&ParentId=57

Then spend whatever is left from your budge on whatever Squier guitar suits your fancy:

http://www.squierguitars.com/products/

Squier has some nice shortscales (the Jagmasters and the new DuoSonic) you might want to check out, especially if you have smaller hands.

+1, good call
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
