really just mess around with a lot of reverse delay and some chorus and you might get "close"
but really, its the magic of that fancy rack gear

He actually has a valid point. Steve said himself its the only piece of gear he needs, the fan. As for an answer to your question, play it how you want, create your own style

I doubt it

reverse delay will probably get you "close" for making pretty noisescapes (and its available in most $100ish digital delay pedals)
