Hi, I am considering buying a new amp, i am looking at the Peavey 6505 head, mesa boogie dual rectifier and the marshal DSL 50. I play mostly metal such as trivium or Children of bodom stuff. Tell me which one seems to sound better in your opinion

The 6505 will be much tighter than the Recto. It'll have a better low end. I think the 6505 is your best bet.

6505 is probably the best sounding, but not versatile. The dual rec has lots of options and frills. The DSL is pretty good IMO, just not a heavy metal amp.

well he said he was looking into a 6505, which is what like 1200?

I just noticed he already had a good cab, so... ENGL screamer head. Will work wonders for the kind of music you are playing. Kicks the crap out of these new marshalls.

Any ENGL is great for heavy metal stuff. But the Recto can be kind of loose and flabby and the Marshall really isn't that great. So out of those, 6505
