Okay, so basically, there's this switch that controls how long it takes to turn off the wah after you take your foot off of it. There was an annoying clicking sound every time I tried to turn it on or off, so I decided to make it shorter. It's supposed to be adjustable, but part of the switch snapped off when I tried to. So now, the thing doesn't turn off for a good 5-7 seconds after I take my foot off of it.

So, first off, what's a bypass timer, exactly? I know it controls how long it takes to turn the effect off after you take your foot off, but I don't know anything beyond that.

Second, how do I fix it so that it stops the wah sound directly after I take my foot off the pedal? Or do I just break the remaining bits off the board entirely?

Third, no comments about Behringer's pedal quality, if at all possible. ;D

seriosly, literacy is key. IF HE SAYS DON'T COMMENT ON BEHRINGER QUALITY, DON'T.

sorry i'm no good on topic, but i am curious as well, it could be a cool sound if you can somhow link a bypass timer to a fuzz unit for really fast intermittancies, and get some crazy flange and delay or something...

probably sound way too trippy.

Actually, that's a pretty cool idea. Completely impractical for most use, but it'd be an amazing sound effect.

And actually, besides the bypass timer, the Behringer's not too bad. I mean, you're definitely not going to get the classic McCoy sound or anything metal and aggressive, but it sounds nice. Sort of like a Buddha Wah. Very subtle and calm.

OK, I think I can help. The switch, was it something that looked like a screw and the more you turned it to one side, the slower/faster the time went? In that case, you're dealing with a trimpot. If that was so, you have to know to which side it had to be twisted to decrease the time.

Yeah, actually, that's exactly what it was. I've tried twisting it to the extremes of either side, but it doesn't seem to do anything at all.

Thanks for identifying what it is. That alone is a huge help.

This was for the UG challenge when I was still in it. I tried representing the White team in case you hadn't noticed yet, I wasn't typing in all caps either.
