Inspired by the Andrew Jackson thread.

I'd say he was the most libertarian minded president, though he made some bad policies in practice. What do you guys think?

Pretty cool guy
When a man lies he murders some part of the world
These are the pale deaths which men miscall their lives
All this I cannot bear to witness any longer
Cannot the kingdom of salvation take me home?

I'd rather talk about Jack Churchill, Whose with me!?

Thomas Jefferson is American, Jack is British....<

He was definitely an ardent libertarian, but he also had a lot to work off of with Alexander Hamilton and the other Federalists. Strong vs. weak central government was the big issue of the time so either side of the spectrum was more defined.

I find it a little hypocritical that he wrote all kinds of anti-slavery stuff, but...he owned slaves.

Meh, just my opinion.

The only advantage of home-schooling is that it gives you good reason to commit suicide.

Hit this once or twice, and you'll be twice as nice.

Why don't people like talkin' about history anymore? That's the problem with society today, not enough young'uns interested in history!

I think he would've made a much better Supreme Court Justice than President.

Well I'm taking an American history class this semester, and we've only reached the aftermath of the revolution so I don't know much about American historic figures...

The number you hope for at the moment you throw the dice, is the one you'll want to keep.
