Is it just me or British singers have more variance in their singing voices?

I watched Ellen today.

There was a little girl, I think she was six, and she had a British accent and sang. She sounded good.

That is all.

This would explain why Layne Staley has the same singing style as Jeff Buckley and Jello Biafra.

I love you =] I can't say I was very fond of you when we first started talking because you trolled the hell out of my threads, but after talking to you here I've grown very attached to you.

Yeah, write to my fanclub about it, honey.

I agree. Jimi Hendrix totally sounds like Dave Mustaine.

It is cause Jimi Hendrix spent too much time in England. That is the only reason he sounds different.

Matt Bellamy and Thom Yorke sound nothing alike, though.

Wait a minute, I have a theory. The only reason Jimi Hendrix sounds different is because he befriended Eric Clapton in order to spend time in England, so his vocal styles would be different enough to be noticed in America!

IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW!

Gregg Allman?
Chester Burnett?
Johnny Cash?
Elvis Presley?
Stephen Tyler?
Jimi Hendrix?

There's tons of unique voices amongst American singers.

*Breath* Yeah, *breath* I guess I have to really *breath* agree with that.

*Breath*I just kinda find it *breath* annoying.

I have the same problem when I listen to Elliott Smith. That said, I like Muse.

I can't explain it. I just love his singing. I know he always seem to have a 15 feet pole up his ass when he sings, but I happen to love the result. Muse is my favorite band

I don't know why some people are so annoyed by this. I personally love it, I don't like it when things are overproduced/underproduced, and I think it packs more of a punch. It's not like I'm against not breathing into the mic though.

Well, you might make her think otherwise.

You could just show her that you have a PS3 and BANG.

Cause it is distracting. The least he could do is breath through the nose. And use a slightly less sensitive mic.
