I found my dad's old 1985 Epiphone Texan, the bridge is messed up(wood is worn, so the pegs pop out if tuned too high) so I had to put it in DADGAD, but that's all good.

The other day, my friend said that it was worth like $1100.

Is that true at all?

My dad said he bought it as a travel guitar and only paid $150.

Well, the Paul McCartney Signature Texan is something like $2100, partly due to the McCartney name and partly because it's made in the Gibson factory in the US. I can't seem to find a 'standard' Texan model though.
