buying my first electric guitar and amp,
i play a lot of stuff, mostly rock,
basically everything i hear, i play it on my acoustic yamaha
so now i've decided to go for an electric

my budget is upto 450$

a place near my place is offering these

ESP LTD MH 53 its the one one the bottom of this link
for ~ 310$

and a Roland 5 watts microcube for about 110$
plus the cords and picks and stuff

what say? worth it ?
i can wait a few months for christmas and then ill be able to get around 500$ budget for my stuff...........but waiting so long for 50$ seems poitnless.....

anyone suggest anything else? within the budget..........

thanks

If you are just using it to practice get the microcube or the V5. V18 is a little too loud for bedroom practice. It's probably loud enough to gig with

I think a Peavey Vypyr would be better if you are just starting out. A 15 watt is only 100$ and it would help you learn what effects and sounds you like more. An amp modeler would be great at first.

As for the guitar, it seems that most people say that those guitars have bad trems, the floating Floyd Rose bridge, and start to mess up. I say either something like a MIM Fender Fat strat, or any string-thru guitar.

guess so.....with an 18 watt amp my neighbors will probably attack me or something......
even 5watts will piss them

Meh...I've played my v-50 from 2-4 am....no problems...unless you put the volume at max or something, you really shouldn't have a problem...if the v-50 can be quiet enough for bedroom practice, the v 18 can too...plus in a year or two when you start a band or just wanna jam / gig with some friends it'll be good enough to get you through the jam session / gig.

India sucks for tube amps. SUCKS!@!!!

Oh but Line6 Spiders multiply around here like ****ing mosquitoes.

I want a Crate V18 but i have to wait till March09 to see if my uncle who's coming here from the US can get it for me. How heavy is it?

Do airport security and customs let it go thru?
