I have an extra Squire Strat and i want to do some work to it just for a first mod thing so if it messes up, whatever, and if it doesnt cool.

All i really wanna know is what pick ups i can put in it to get a good Pink Floyd/Blues cleans sound and a good crunch for like Led Zeppelin mild overdrive. what can i use?

if you want a pink floyd style pickup, gilmour used stock fender neck and middle pickup.
but for the recording of "Animals" he used a dimarzio FS-1 bridge pickup
for the recording of "the wall" he used a Seymour Duncan SSL-1...so you decide

also you could upgrade the bridge and tuners, give it a cool paintjob and even put a better neck on it.

im workin with singles, i could replace the tuners and bridge, but i dont wanna remove the neck. i want a kind of Another brick in the wall solo tone on clean and a comfortably numb solo overdrive.

well if you want to be authentic get the ssl-1. but the pickup is not gonna change the sound all that much. if you wanna get close to the lead tone you might want to look into a big muff pedal or fuzz face or something similar. your not gonna get anywhere close with that uber shit pedal.

Yeah... most of a tone if the amp. Pickups could help a tiny bit.
