I am currently working on scales, E major, and noticed I can barre the entire fourth fret while playing. My left arm hurts a lot though. Should I be trying to find a more comfortable position or get used to it? I'm barring it with my index finger of course and it is slightly on the side while I use my other fingers to fret.
you shouldn't be barring while playing scales, move your index finger to the next string every time
No don't listen to him man. You can barre if you want. If your doing a scale with chords that is. But if you're only doing single notes, its rather unnecessary to barre.

Whats a Steve Vai? Floyd Rose ripoff?

Behold...the Arctopus are obviously music. I don't see how anyone could say they're not music compared to many modern and post-modern composers. That being said, I think B...tA are terrible.
