Like animals we board the arc in twos,
On whiskey tides and lime.
We swallow the moments hypnotised
In wheeled boxes made of iron.
There’s a sip for all that’s lost, and another
For what is found.
We are two second-hands;
We are limitless.
Another cracked concrete contusion,
Paper thoughts run down the hall
Bare foot, to our abandonment;
Were we ever here at all?
This is missed phone call misery,
This is angelic anarchy.
Radiate, then dim;
Were we ever here at all?

Collapse and collide,
Like an echo we rise then demise,
Reprise -
Autumn wishes it was green.
Absorb all you can see,
And raise the dead with your dreams
Then dissolve into steam,
A child of autumn, turned green.

I was tadpole I was ape I was I
I arc I was Noah I was animal
I was leper I was saviour I was infidel
I was foundation I was tower I was derelict.

We'll drift, twist and gleam.
Remove the sin from the stars.
Recognise;
As the grass grows much greener over Lacey’s grave.

Nicely done, this was a very thought provoked read and the epitome of your work, my friend. Well done.

Collapse and collide,
Like an echo we rise then demise,
Reprise -
Autumn wishes it was green.
Absorb all you can see,
And raise the dead with your dreams
Then dissolve into steam,
A child of autumn, turned green.

Ah, the rhythm and rhyme was made this an amazing read. It showed great technicality and yet still evoking what you' as a writer, have to say.

I was tadpole I was ape I was I
I arc I was Noah I was animal
I was leper I was saviour I was infidel
I was foundation I was tower I was derelict.

Hmm... this was unique but i'm not sure if this does justice for this piece. Nevertheless I found this unique.

We'll drift, twist and gleam.
Remove the sin from the stars.
Recognise;
As the grass grows much greener over Lacey’s grave.

An abstract and memorable conclusion my friend. But I didn't so much enjoy the was "recognise" was presented, hmm...

Overall this was very nice and I'm glad to see you back again.
